This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of BetterFlow. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy and our Terms of Service.
Violations of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice.
Permitted activities
You may use BetterFlow to:
- Track time and manage projects for your organization
- Manage employee leave requests and approvals
- Generate productivity insights using AI analytics
- Provide clients with view-only access to project data
- Export data for compliance and reporting purposes
- Integrate with approved third-party services (DeskTime, etc.)
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use BetterFlow for any of the following:
1. Illegal or Harmful Activities
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
- Distributing malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Engaging in fraud, phishing, or identity theft
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
2. Security Violations
- Attempting unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Circumventing security or authentication measures
- Probing, scanning, or testing system vulnerabilities
- Interfering with service availability or performance
- Launching denial-of-service (DoS) attacks
3. Misuse of Platform Features
- Reverse engineering or decompiling the Platform
- Scraping or automated data collection beyond intended functionality
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
- Reselling or redistributing Platform access without authorization
- Using the Platform for competitive intelligence gathering
4. Surveillance Abuse
- Monitoring employees beyond Platform's intended transparency features
- Installing additional surveillance software on employee devices
- Using Platform data for discriminatory purposes
- Violating employee privacy rights or labor laws
5. Data Misuse
- Uploading sensitive personal data beyond what's necessary (e.g., medical records, financial data)
- Sharing client data across projects without authorization
- Exporting data for purposes unrelated to your business operations
- Selling, renting, or sharing Platform data with third parties
6. Resource Abuse
- Excessive API calls or automated queries that strain infrastructure
- Storing excessive files or data beyond reasonable business needs
- Running scripts or bots that interfere with Platform performance
Content Guidelines
Content you upload or create in BetterFlow must not contain:
- Hateful, discriminatory, or offensive material
- Adult or sexually explicit content
- Violent or graphic imagery
- Spam, advertising, or promotional content (unless related to your business operations)
- False, misleading, or defamatory information

If you become aware of any violations of this Policy, please report them immediately:

Consequences of Violations
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:
- Issue a warning and request corrective action
- Temporarily suspend account access
- Permanently terminate your account
- Refuse to provide refunds for paid subscriptions
- Report illegal activities to law enforcement
- Pursue legal action for damages incurred
Cooperation with Investigations
We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, and legal processes. This may include disclosing account information and user data when legally required.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days' notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
